Chords
The line segment connecting two points on a circle's circumference is a chord. When the chord passes through the center of a circle it is called the diameter.
Properties of equal chords:
- Equal chords of a circle subtend equal angles at the centre of the circle.
- If the angles subtended by the chords of a circle at the centre are equal,then the chords are equal.
- Equal chords of circle are equidistant from the centre.
- Chords equidistant from the centre of a circle are equal in length.
